
GGIS Rules and Regulations for Parents/Students
- All students are expected to show courteous behavior towards each other, teachers, and all school’s staff members.
- English is the main language spoken in school; Arabic is spoken only during the Arabic and Islamic studies sessions.
- Attendance and promptness to school is compulsory. All students should arrive to school at 7:30 am; first session for all levels starts at 8:00 am while the dismissal time is 1:00 pm for Pre-k , 1:30 pm for KG1, KG-2 and KG-3, and 2:15 PM for Grades 1 -3 .
- Students are advised to stay at home when being ill or not feeling well.
- For absence more than three consecutive days, a medical report should be provided to school. Teachers will compensate the missed work up to 3 absence days only.
- While attending school, students should wear clean school uniforms. Students are to wear black, white or navy-blue shoes with white socks; sandals are not allowed.
- Students should maintain proper hygiene; nails should be cut regularly. Girls should always tie their hair while boys’ hair should be short and tidy.
- Parents should provide the school with a bag (labeled with the student’s name) containing extra clothing to be used when needed.
- Students are not allowed to wear jewelry or accessories while attending the school.
- Parents should laminate all books and copybooks and label all the students’ supplies.
- Parents should check their kids’ bags and agendas on daily basis in case the school has sent any important note, announcement, memo or homework.
- Books will be kept in class and will be sent home every Thursday; parents should make sure that students bring back all their books on Sunday.
- Home work should be done on regular basis.
- Parents should provide their kids with healthy breakfast and snacks.
- Parents can contact the teacher only by writing a note in the agenda.
